Bridal Shower Greeting

Good Morning Friends,

I am so excited today, we are expected to have temps in the middle 80's today here in Southern Ohio.  All kinds of things we want to do today, not sure we can get it all in.

Today's card was a card that I made yesterday morning, it took around an hour to finally get it together, and I gave it away knowing it needed some adjustments but there is just a time when you have to stop working and just let it go, and it didn't help that it was time for the Bridal Shower too.

The idea for this card was not my creation.  I cased this card with my version added.  The lady who created the idea has a wonderful website, it will take you hours to see it all and when you see the creations she does you will want to be her. You can check out her idea for the card Here. I also have a link on my sidebar for her website too. I can't say enough about her work.

Here is my card:
I am sorry it is in the envelope, but I was headed out the door with it and then thought I would probably kick myself if I didn't take a picture of this card.  So it was already to go when I snapped the pic.

This card is a 5x7

Card Recipe:
 Paper: Base/Brown/Gina K
DSP: K & Company
I used a embossing folder on the dress and cut it out with a spellbinders die
Pearls: Stampin Up
Punch border: Martha Stewart
Stamps: Stampin Up
Oval: Stampin Up and tag/Stampin Up
Leaves: Bird Punch
the little flowers on the dress is a negative flower from a border punch
The rose is Prima

Things I will change when I do this again:
Move the heart shape down a little more.  I would use a thicker white paper for the dress in order to get a deeper emboss, add a darker ribbon around the waist.
And take a picture of the inside...ugh..

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I will be back soon with another card.  I really wanted to make cards all day yesterday but had committments that took me away.  But I will get back to crafting soon....I however will be out enjoying the nice weather today with my family.

Have a Great Day!!!

Bridal Thank You Notes

Good Evening,
I wanted to post this card earlier, but between internet issues yesterday and camera issues this evening I have had a tuff time getting things posted on here.

I have been invited to several Bridal Showers/Weddings lately for the coming summer and I thought that I would make a few little card set Thank You notes for them.  I will give them another gift too, but I think sometimes it is nice to have some different "thank yous" to send to special friends and relatives.

I thought instead of using the same color ribbon I would use different colors.  Now I wished I had used just one, my next card set will be just one color.  We learn from our mistakes.

The Card Recipe

I cut the cardstock for these 3 1/2 x 5
I used a variety of ribbons and ink colors to match
I used the Perfect Punches stamp set from Stampin Up
I used a embossing folder from Stampin Up

The Bag Recipe

I used the pattern from Angie Kennedy's webstie which I have a link to on my sidebar of the blog under Chic n Scratch You will find the instructions there for the 12x12 Card box.  She also has a ton of other video tutorials there for you to see and use too, she does great work.

I used Martha Stewart Punches for all the decorative borders on the card box.
The leaves are from a sizzix die and the fern leaves are also a punch along with the flower punches I used for the flowers, the brads are antique brads from Stampin Up, I added white ribbon at the bottom and top of the box along the borders. I did emboss the top border.

Thanks for dropping by
See You later
