Birthday Card

I have been busy lately and haven't made any cards.   But I did make this card for a friend on her birthday.  I have included the photo of the inside.  Again I have added a flower which I very rarely do, but this card just called for one. I tend to go overboard and I don't apologize for that, I love embellishments, especially ones that are free and easy to make. The friend I gave this card to took the idea here and made a Christmas Card. That is what you do to make a card your own.
Pearls have been my favorite embellishment lately.

Christmas Card

This card is far from fancy, but I like it because it looks old.  I used some designer paper with green stripes on one side then took a piece of cardstock and used a border punch to cut along both sides for the middle. Green ribbon covers it.  I used a large Stampin Up stamp for the other side, the "25" is also from that stamp in another color cut in a circle and layer on top of a scalloped circle....everything was sponged on the edges.

Christmas Card

I made this card from the Stamp Up stamps that were for Thanksgiving, but thought it would look great for a Christmas Card.  I used an embossing folder from Stampin Up also.  Red Cardstock from Gina K along with some gold ribbon, the center stamp was embossed with gold embossing powder. Soon I will get more detailed with how and what I have been making my cards with, along with some websites where the items can be bought.

Christmas Card

Here is another Christmas Card.  I get so excited about making Christmas Cards, but not really a Christmas lover.  I find Christmas to be way to hectic and not as exciting as it use to be. I would be satisfied with all the family getting together enjoying good food and family time, and celebrating the reason we celebrate Christmas..on to the card now..... This card was made with stamps from Stampin up, I stitched around the edge of the paper with gold thread.  Tied a red ribbon to complete the card.  Also I believe the cardstock for this card was craft type cardstock layered with red.

Christmas Reindeer

These may not be the traditional colors of Christmas but I just had to try to see what this would look like.  He is such a cute reindeer.  I used stampin up stamp for the greetngs, and the circle cutter for the circles and the scalloped punch for the large circle and used the white gel pen to make fake stitches around the red circle..  I also inked the edges lightly.. I really enjoyed making this card.

Birthday card

This card has been one of my favorites only because of it's color.  I usually don't add a lot of flowers to my cards but in recent post you can see I have done that a lot.  The designer paper is from a pad I purchased from Gina K designs along with the cardstock.  The brad that I used for the ribbon is from Stampin Up.

Birthday Card

This was a fun card to make.  I used punches, stamps and ribbon of course.   I'm not sure where the paper came from but I think it was a single sheet that I bought.

Top Note Christmas Boxes

The Deer is "Dasher" from Stampin Up.

The Ornament is a stamp from Stampin Up and cut out with the Stampin UP punch.

The Stamp here is from Stampin Up.

These are nice little boxes for treats or whatever you would like to put in them.  The are made with the TopNote from Stampin Up.  I found the instructions on Youtube. They were made with Gina K cardstock and the designer paper was a pad of Christmas Paper and I can't remember the name.  Dasher is a stamp from Stampin UP, he is a cutie.

Card set cards

These are the last two cards in the set.

Christmas Card Set card

These are more cards that go in the card set.

Christmas Card set card 2

Another card for the set.

Christmas Card Set

This is one of the cards in the card set. Made with black cardstock and embossed with a embossing folder from Stampin Up. The flowers were made with a flower punch and the labels are made with stamps and nestabilities label 14.  I like using black for Christmas cards, it really makes the colors pop.
This is the drawer box I found on splitcoaststampers.com. When I learn to add websites to the blog I will add them so they will be easier to find and credit can be given to those who deserve it. Paper for this box came from Gina K. along with the Label stamp which is cut out with Nestabilities Label 14...very cute set.

Christmas Card Set

This is a set of Christmas Cards that I have been working on.  I plan to make a few of these for friends as a gift.  I tried to keep a theme here by using a flower punch, and making them match the drawer box they are in.  I found the drawer box on splitcoaststampers.com, you can search there for it.  I plan to show each card that I made for the box.  The envelopes have been stamped also.

Christmas Card #4

This card is one of my favorites.  I love the tree stamp from Stampin Up, and the background stamp is also Stampin Up in the holiday mini. I embossed the tree with gold embossing, the sentiment is also Stampin Up, the paper is Gina K. I most always ink the edges of all my cards and this one is inked in Crumb Cake ink from Stampin Up. It is great for edges that you want to make vintage looking.

Christmas Card #3

In the background of this card I stamped an image from Stampin Up in the ink color Crumb Cake.  I found the instructions for making the Christmas tree on You Tube, the scallop circle and sentiment is from Stamp Up also.  The cardstock is Gina K.  I most always find a place for pearls, and the ones here are from Stampin Up also.  The corners are punched with a Stampin UP punch.  Hopefully I will be able to tell you the names of these things when I get more use to posting here.  Ribbon is from Walmart.

Christmas Card #2

This card I made with an older stamp set from Stampin up, I stitched some gold thread around the card with my sewing machine.  The snowflake was embossed with Stampin Up white embossing powder. I use mostly Gina K pure luxury heavy based paper, it is a great cardstock for cardmaking.  I also use a lot of Stampin UP cardstock too. I most always use ribbon on my cards, this ribbon had a small amount of wire that made it stand out nicely. Merry Christmas was embossed with gold embossing powder.

Christmas Card #1

I have been working on my Christmas Cards for the season.  I enjoy Christmas Card making only because the colors of Christmas are so cheerful.  Some things you should know about my cardmaking, first of all I am a "busy" cardmaker and scrapbooker, not busy like work busy, but busy with elements I might add to my craft.  I also believe that the INSIDE of the card should be as beautiful as the OUTSIDE of the card.  Why go to all the trouble to make a beautiful card and not finish out, your person receiving the card will feel a terrible let down when they open the card and realize you gave up on the inside, so all of my cards will have a finished inside also, although not as busy out the outside.  Most all of my cards require extra postage. :)
This card I used Martha Stewart punches, and Stampin Up stamps and ink.

Welcome

Glad you made it to my blog.  This is the first day and I will hopfully become more acquainted with this blogging thing and be able to customize mine blog to what I like.
I created this blog so that I could share my homemade cards and scrapbooking pages. I hope you will come often to check out what I have done, and I would love you to share your ideas with me too.
