Sweet Valentine

Good Evening,

I am really late posting today, but I am still feeling a little BLAH today and haven't felt like creating until about an hour ago, but heading back to the sofa as soon as I post.  Hoping I feel better soon.  All this winter weather is sorta making me feel shut in.  I guess I need to go out and breath a little fresh air.

Ok, a few posts ago I said I wasn't going to make anymore Valentine Cards, but ideas pop into my head and you have to go with what comes to you.  So todays card is a thought, with the way I have been feeling I am sure this thought was a little muted.

I used SU paper for the base of the card.   The DP came from an 8x8 tablet of paper called October Afternoon.  I love this paper, it is so old looking.  I tried a technique I seen on Splitcoaststampers where they embossed other elements in to the paper.  I like it, I think it looks really neat.  The more busy folders work well, they tend to emboss the elements much better. I used the SU heart punch along with the scalloped punch from Marvy for hearts.  I used the Greeting from SU along with the key in the corner.  I just got the roses, I have seen them on everyones cards and just had to have some.  I really like them.  I used a small ribbon behind the rose. Pearls are also SU.

Everyone should try the embossing technique it is really fun to do.  I will be doing more.

Have a nice Evening!
